Lott Middle School Counseling Program Mission Statement
The mission of the Rosa A. Lott Middle School Counseling Department is to provide a preemptive and comprehensive program, developmentally appropriate for addressing the needs of students' academic and career goals as well as provide support for their personal and social needs. In doing so, the program strives to cultivate partnerships other faculty and staff members, parents/guardians, and additional stakeholders in the community in an effort to empower all students to become successful, productive citizens and lifelong learners of a continuously evolving society.

The Vision of Rosa A. Lott Middle School's Counseling Department is driven by our school system’s motto, “Learning Today. Leading Tomorrow.” Consequently, students are equipped with the tools necessary to meet their academic, career and social/personal needs and empowered with the discernment to successfully utilize these tools and skills in a safe and nurturing environment. With the belief that each student has potential to learn and lead, the program will collaborate with stakeholders to assist in guiding each student to reach his or her potential and become productive citizens prepared to make a positive impact on society.
