✨Senior Spotlight: Shiloh Malone✨
Shiloh Malone is heading to Jacksonville State University this fall, where she plans to major in biology as she continues her journey toward becoming a veterinarian
Over the past four years, Shiloh is most proud of her perseverance—never giving up and staying committed to keeping her grades up, even when it wasn’t easy.
One teacher who made a lasting impact is Ms. Callais, who Shiloh shares was always there when she needed someone to talk to—especially during moments when opening up felt tough. She is so grateful for Mrs. Callais and the support she provides to students who may not always have someone else to lean on.
For underclassmen, Shiloh offers this advice: stay on top of your work and don’t fall behind—it’s hard to catch up. And most importantly, don’t take your time here for granted.

Students in AP Language turned up the creativity as they prepared for their exam by analyzing famous Disney songs through the lens of SPACE CAT 🐱✍️—examining speaker, purpose, audience, context, exigence, choices, appeals, and tone. From powerful ballads to classic sing-alongs, they transformed lyrics into thoughtful rhetorical essays, proving that strong analysis can be found in every story!

✨ Senior Spotlight: Victor Cubi ✨
After graduation, Victor will be finishing the FlightPath9 (FP9) Program while working at Airbus, then continuing his journey at Coastal Alabama to earn his Aviation & Powerplant (A&P) License. Getting accepted into the FP9 Program is one of his proudest accomplishments, especially because it leads directly to hands-on experience at Airbus and the opportunity for a full-time career.
Victor spent four years playing Varsity Football, serving as the starting Outside Linebacker for two years, and says one of his best moments ever was scoring his first touchdown during the Foley game on Homecoming Night—a feeling he’ll never forget. He was also part of the Esports team for two years, competing in Rainbow Six Siege and Marvel Rivals.
Victor says he’ll miss Ms. Callais the most—for putting up with him getting on her nerves every single day for two straight years and for always leading him the right way with genuine care. His favorite memories are every football game, especially the laughs, fun moments, and legendary bus rides home—core memories for sure.
He gives heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tucker for always being there for him, guiding him in the right direction, and supporting him like a second mom. He is forever grateful for her presence in his life.
Advice from Victor:
“Don’t slack. You don’t want to be the person telling others not to miss opportunities because you did. Take advantage of every great opportunity you get.”
